Once upon a time a Community Health Nurse & Midwife and a Customer Service & freelance IT Consultant (both of many, many, many years experience) decided they were tired of bureaucracy, idiotical government demands and managerial hierarchies. 

So a momentous decision was made resulting in a significant tree change, leaving suburban Melbourne behind and following a long desired dream to move to this extremely lovely part of the world.

A suitably beautiful property was bought and the family relocated, we now have 4 cats and 1 dog within the house (but not in the work areas!) and an amazing array of birds, lizards, frogs and other wildlife who preferably remain outside.

The only down-side was the change of (still idiotical) governmental guidelines which resulted in even less available employment than was anticipated.

NewStart is an extraordinarily hard, super stressful & undesirable way to exist, so much creative thinking ensued and we decided to use our various artistic and creative skills to support ourselves thus the CUDDLE BUNNIES & GRANDPA PETE'S businesses were born and we can now proudly announce "We are a family business based in the Ovens Valley in beautiful NE Victoria" and boy has it been fun!  

In keeping with our love of the environment, we try to follow a healthy, green approach to a sustainable living.  We source as many of our products from Australian (preferably local) suppliers which is very important even if the items themselves have to be imported. We use true plant based cellophane bags for the tea towels, face washers, hand & bath towels, and recycle the plastic bags the toys come in rather than buy new ones.  When we're at markets we have recycled paper bags that are such a lovely quality, they feel like hand made paper!  We also have bio-degradable plastic bags when needed.

Orders & suggestions welcome.   We regularly go to many craft markets in NE Victoria mainly Bright, Violet Town, Wangaratta, Wodonga/Albury & Yackandandah plus some annual events, (it's best to email or phone us if you want something in particular to ensure we will have it, or better still order it first!)
